Laurie Poole is a Licensed Professional Counselor, relationship specialist, and the unapologetically real host of Therapist Unplugged. With a background in corporate marketing and communications, Laurie brings both sharp insight and lived-in wisdom to her clinical work and conversations on the mic.

She specializes in helping people navigate life transitions, emotional disconnection, and the often-complicated dynamics of midlife. Laurie earned her Master of Science in Counseling from Southern Methodist University and trained extensively in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), one of the most effective approaches for relational healing. She spent five years at UT Southwestern’s Department of Psychiatry and has contributed to Case Studies in Couple and Family Therapy.
